Set up your Telegram membership task
- Add @QuestPathDotDevBot to your group, or add it to your channel.
- Open the group or channel settings → Administrators. Promote the bot with the minimum rights Telegram allows. Membership checks need administrator status; QuestPath does not need message content, posting, deleting, banning, or inviting users.
- Save the community using its numeric chat ID and join link. Ask a chat administrator for the ID. For a private message link such as
t.me/c/1234567890/42, the chat ID is-1001234567890. A public username or invite link alone is not a chat ID. - Select Check bot setup. A successful check confirms the bot is an administrator in that exact chat.
- Connect your Telegram account above, then select Verify my community access. Your linked account must be a chat administrator. Both checks must be less than 24 hours old when you publish.
If the check fails, confirm the chat ID, re-add the bot if it was removed, and check its administrator status before retrying. A group converted to a supergroup can have a new ID.
Telegram membership-check requirements ↗QuestPath checks membership on request. The runtime does not read or store chat messages. Bot access does not prove community ownership or link a participant’s social account to their wallet.
